Not being content with sweeping medals in the UK, several SMSC club members found themselves in Singapore in August this year, looking for a new challenge. And so it was, that they made the most of their entries to the World Masters Champs in Singapore, by putting in some great performances. For context, the Champs comprised 6000+ swimmers from 89 countries, 1700 clubs, age range 25-99, and four 50m pools within half a mile of each other.
- Jessica P came 2nd in the 800m freestyle; 3rd in the 400m individual medley (IM) and 15th in the 50m butterfly;
- Jo finished 12th in the 100m butterfly and 30th in the 50m butterfly;
- Mark P stormed to 23rd in the 100m breastroke, and 45th in the 50m butterfly.
