Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Archway will be ready to swim in for the 2nd September. Work is still ongoing, and they’ll let me know of a confirmed start date asap. No news other than that at the moment I’m afraid,

Hello Everyone

For those of you not already aware, the pool at Archway will be closed from today until at least the end of August whilst they replace the whole plant filtration system. This will hopefully be a blessing in disguise with a much better pool swimming experience at the end of it.

Please cancel any SOs you have for Archway.

I’ll update everyone when we have more news about progress and completion.

Just to let you know that there will be no swimming at Stratford Park on Easter Sunday. The session is cancelled.

Early morning swimming at Archway on Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday will start an hour later than normal at 7.30am, so if you are up for it come along and try it out,

Hello Everyone

The committee decided at the last meeting to extend the monthly payment option to cover all swimming sessions and not just Archway mornings.

The monthly payment options from 1st April are now as follows

• £55 - 3 swims a week
• £40 - 2 swims a week
• £21 - 1 swim a week

Monthly payments should be paid within the first 7 days of the month to qualify. If they are paid later the fee will revert to £6 per session for the whole month. Any swims above the number of those paid for per week will be charged at £6 per swim. It is also not possible to carry over unused swims from one month to the next.

If you pay monthly already please don’t change your payment date if you fall outside of the first 7 days of the month (unless you want to).

Results from a weekend trip to Swansea to Swim in the Welsh Masters Long Course Champs.

Jessica :

• Three firsts - 200 fly, 400 IM and 800 freestyle
• Second in the 200 backstroke

• Two firsts - 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke
• Two seconds - 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke

Swum in Swansea’s famous boomerang shaped 50m pool 👌

There’s a film being released in early March on Mercedes Gleitze 1920’s channel swim called Vindication Swim. Filmed with a 1920’s feel.

How about a club members trip to the cinema to watch it and linking your love of swimming and film? Be good to grab a drink afterwards to discuss.

On in Swindon, and Longwell Green, Bristol. Both pretty much both same distance from Stroud.

It’s 8th, 9th and 10th March. Richard favours Friday 8th
