Session Plans

Below are past session plans for Stroud Masters sessions.  By providing the plans we hope to provide a resource for swimmers that have been unable to attend a session and provide some inspiration for individual swim training.

Unless otherwise stated the session times and distances are based on the most able swimmers in the club.  However, the plans can easily be adjusted to match a swimmers ability:

  • If you are unable to make the target time then be sure to take the expected rest interval (e.g. 10 seconds) before proceeding with the set
  • If you are unable to make the target time then you may need to reduce the number of repetitions of a given set to keep within session timings (e.g. do 4 repeats instead of 5)
  • If you are struggling with the distances involved then consider reducing the length of each set (for example 150m rather than 200m)
